BOWA Wins Local CotY Awards in 2020 Competition

BOWA Wins Two CotY Awards

McLean, Va. – BOWA is pleased to announce that it has won three Contractor of the Year (CotY) Awards in this year’s local competition. The National Association of the Remodeling Industry’s  (NARI) Metro DC Chapter announced BOWA placed first in two categories, Residential Interior between $250,001 and $500,000 and Entire House over $1,000,000, at their “Evening of Excellence” celebration on February 8th. BOWA was also named a Finalist Award Winner for the category of Basement $100,000 to $250,000. Judging for this competition is based on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, and degree of difficulty as assessed by an impartial panel of industry experts.

“We’re thrilled to be recognized by our peers for the work we did on these projects,” said David Flyer, BOWA’s CEO. “For over 30 years, we’ve been firmly committed to delivering our clients superior construction quality and remarkable remodeling experiences long after their projects are complete. We’re honored to be recognized for the beautiful work our designers, craftsmen, project management and clients create together.”BOWA Wins Two CotY Awards

For the fifth year in a row, BOWA won the category of Entire House over $1,000,000. The winning design was a complete overhaul of a DC row home, including intricate underpinning of the basement to create a usable space, removing all the walls on the main level to create an open floorplan, relocating the staircase and adding a skylight that brings natural light to all levels, and building a fourth-level addition featuring a master suite with home office and outdoor space. With such a complex basement renovation, this project was also a Finalist Award Winner in the category of Basement $100,000 to $250,000 in this year’s awards.

BOWA’s award-winning design for Residential Interior $250,001 to $500,000 focused on creating an open, BOWA Wins Two CotY Awards luxurious floorplan in a McLean home. BOWA opened the walls to create easy sightlines from kitchen, to dining, to living room. The modern aesthetic the clients desired was incorporated with clean cabinetry, dark flooring and sleek lines, and accented with a mirrored tile column separating the kitchen from the living room.

These awards are the latest recognition for BOWA, which has received over 250 local and national awards honoring the company’s business excellence and design and construction expertise on projects ranging from master suites and kitchens to whole-house and whole-condo remodels.
